What makes moissanite so special?

Very rare in nature, it is renowned for its brilliance and is considered the second hardest gemstone in the world after diamond. Is moissanite a sustainable alternative to diamonds?

Moissanite is grown in a laboratory and consumes fewer resources than mined diamonds because the stones are artificially produced. Unfortunately, diamond mining is often associated with human rights violations and child labor. Furthermore, moissanite production requires less energy and raw materials than diamond mining, making moissanite the more environmentally friendly alternative.

This means: no mines, no environmental destruction, no ethical concerns – simply pure beauty.
Is moissanite durable and can it become cloudy?

Moissanite is a very durable gemstone. Due to its high hardness (9.5 on the Mohs scale), it is highly resistant to scratches and abrasion, making it a stone for eternity. Unlike cubic zirconia, for example, moissanite does not lose its clarity or become cloudy over time. You therefore don't need to worry about the gemstone getting scratched or losing its beauty through daily use. Because of its durability and robustness, it is also a popular choice for engagement rings.

Rhodium-plated silver is coated with a layer of rhodium – a precious metal known for its durability and elegant shine. This keeps your jewelry sparkling for longer and better protected against scratches.
How do I care for my moissanite jewelry?

To ensure your jewelry retains its radiant beauty:

  • Avoid contact with water, perfume & cosmetics.
  • Keep it in the original jewelry box.
  • Clean moissanite gently with lukewarm water. Silver can be polished to a high shine with a silver polishing cloth.

Our luxury jewelry pieces are delivered in an elegant jewelry box – perfect for special occasions. We do not currently offer special gift packaging.

Payment methods, shipping & returns

How long will it take for me to receive my order and from which country will my package be shipped?

All orders are lovingly packaged and shipped from Germany. We process orders between Monday and Friday.

Our delivery times are:

  • Within Germany: 3-5 business days delivery time for orders placed Monday to Friday. Orders received before 12 noon will be processed the same day.
  • EU: 5-10 working days delivery time for orders placed Monday to Friday. Orders received before 12 noon will be processed the same day.

Backorders: Delivery times will be extended accordingly and are indicated in the product descriptions. Shipping will take place as soon as the product is available again (approx. 30 working days).

Please note that shipments may take longer during holiday periods or sale seasons.

We currently do not deliver to parcel lockers.
Can I cancel my order?

Since we aim to process orders as quickly as possible, we kindly ask you to report any cancellation requests as soon as possible. Please contact us at support@glacieraurealis.com . If we have already shipped your order, you can exercise your right of withdrawal and return it within fourteen days of receipt.
